Established and planted in 1982 by Richard and Jill McIntyre, (with daughter, Kate Mcintyre MW joining in 2010) Moorooduc Estate is a small, family-run winery that has developed a brilliant reputation for outstanding wines that are both complex and food friendly.

Regularly praised by Halliday, the Moorooduc team believe that the fundamental quality and character of their wine comes from the vineyard where the grapes are grown, and today these are sourced from a mix of their own vineyards and some that are leased nearby. Their attention to detail with a hands-on approach in the vineyard, and minimal use of chemicals, produces the best possible fruit for their wines. In the winery a combination of wild yeast ferments, minimal intervention winemaking, and with a nod to traditional Burgundian techniques, allow their wines to express site specificity (terrior). The results really do emphasize their know-how with an array of fine wines that are all pure, elegant and wonderfully refined showing a true sense of Mornington and an evolving style that has taken over 40 years to perfect.

This is a Dry, Medium bodied wine with Medium+ acidity and No tannin. It is Medium+ in it's intensity with High alcohol and a Medium+ finish.
