Founded in 1987, Deep Woods Estate is an absolute gem of the Margaret River region, producing consistently high-quality wines every vintage. Their philosophy is to craft wines traditional to the Margaret River area - notably Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon - with modern techniques.

With the esteemed Julian Langworthy as their chief winemaker and John Fogarty as chief viticulturist, this formidable team work together to continually produce the refined and elegant style of wines that define the estate.

Tasting Note:
Representing the pinnacle of the Deep Woods house-style, this Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from the ultra-low yielding, original vines on the estate, along with fruit from the Abbey Vale vineyard also in the Yallingup Hills. The ferments were assessed daily and pump-overs were performed as required to gently extract colour, flavour and tannin. The wine was gently pressed to a combination of new and seasoned French barriques, where it matured in oak for 18 months.

An intensely flavoured and class Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon with notes of black and blue berries, violet, cassis and graphite tied together with ultra fine and silky tannins. The palate delivers is so many ways, ripe flavours follow on from the nose giving red plums and cherries are enhanced by savoury olive tapenade and tomato leaf. This is a brilliant wine: medium-bodied, juicy natural acidity, complex and layered with an elegantly long length.
