Thibaud Boudignon is originally from Bordeaux, and honed his winemaking craft while working at Philipe Charlopin in Gevrey-Chambertin during the early 2000s. He is a young, talented and rising star winemaker in the Loire Valley. He was the winemaker at Château Soucherie where they allowed him to produce a small amount of wine under his own label on the side, but now fully in charge on his own domain, you can now see his style becoming more impressive and refined year after year.
Just when you think you’ve experienced the best a region has to offer, someone like Thibaud comes along and rocks your world. These wines that speak so clearly of their place of origin and there is arguably no greater dry Chenin Blanc being made in the Loire Valley today.

Thibaud is unquestionably one of the most exciting figures in wine today.

Tasting Note:
From 39 year-old vines, planted on vines/ha on a mix of shallow soils of grey schist and rhyolite. This wine is fermented in stainless steel with native yeasts for 2-3 weeks, followed by maturation in 300L and 750L French and Austrian barrels (30% new) for 15-18 months. The oak integration is now perfect to the point of being invisible serving only to add another layer to the tight citric core of fruit.

This is a Dry, Medium bodied wine with High acidity and No tannin. It is Medium in it's intensity with Medium alcohol and a Long finish.
