Viña Ventisquero was founded in the late 1990s by Gonzalo Vial and has quickly gone on to become one of the countries top wine producers. With a winery based in the coastal Maipo Valley the estate sources grapes from the prestigious Casablanca, Leyda, Colchagua and Apalta Valley regions to produce a range of sought-after, award winning wines. Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Carmènere provide the backbone of the range produced by winemaker Felipe Tossa and consultants Aurelio Montes and ex-Penfolds winemaker, John Duval. Young, dynamic and innovative, the wines of Viña Ventisquero provide a captivating glimpse into the diversity of terroirs of this exciting wine nation.

Tasting Note:
A deep red wine with delicate violet hues on the rim. This is a full bodied wine jam packed  with dark fruits such as berries, plums and bramble, intermingled with notes of smoke, black pepper, forest floor, hints of graphite and soft sweet spices such as vanilla and nutmeg.
This wine actually has a solid and firm structure with surprisingly silky tannins. Its black fruit and spicy flavours, together with medium to high acid give it good palate balance and persistence on the finish. This is brilliant, this is bold and this is plush making it a good shout if you're into your bigger reds...

This is a Dry (2.5g/l), Full bodied wine with Medium+ acidity and High tannin. It is Pronounced in it's intensity with High alcohol and a Medium+ finish.
