To find Briar Ridge winery you'll need to venture out into the Hunter Valley and off the beaten track. Once you locate it, you'll find a small boutique and family owned vineyard who've been making wine here since 1972. Even though it's located in the Hunter Valley, speak to the winemakers and they'll quickly tell you its not the Hunter, its Mount View. This unique part of the Hunter has its own little unique microclimate which differentiates it from the rest of the region, and it's this climate allows a wonderfully unique range of grapes to be grown.

With a mix of varied soil types, elevation and aspect, each variety has been carefully hand selected to suit a specific vineyard. All the winemaking is done using a hands off approach that lets the fruit do the talking. With a mix of natural yeasts, older oak and attentive winemaking, the wines are crystal clear and precise, and they really do represent their Mount View origins.

Tasting Note:
Made in the traditional style displaying aromatic notes of honeysuckle and orange blossom. The intensely flavoured palate shows ginger spice, Nashi pear and subtle nutty characters combined with a rich and textured mid palate. In traditional style the acid line provides length and a crisp, persistent finish.
This wine is perfect for drinking by itself or alongside your favourite food.

This is a Dry, Medium- bodied wine with Medium+ acidity and No tannin. It is Medium+ in it's intensity with Medium alcohol and a Long finish.
