This is a fabulous organic Albariño from one of Rias Baixas most dynamic producers.

Nanclares y Prieto have developed something of a cult following around the world. It’s not the sort of recognition they sought out initially but their commitment to vineyard health and the distinctiveness that they are able to coax out of each plot of Albarino has made their wines a sort of touch stone – a reminder that in the right hands and with the right care Albarino can be just as sensitive to changes in terroir as Chenin Blanc or Chardonnay. Their wines are all made with indigenous yeasts and no additives or manipulation other than minimal doses of sulphur, they are pure Salnes Albarino from a humble but very, very talented team.

Dandelion is a blend of Albarino plots dotted around the northern side of the town of Meaño in Val do Salnés. This area is coastal but closer to the bay rather than beach and protect from the strong oceanic breezes, the result is more composure and texture than the steely Tempus Vivendi.

Tasting Note:
A wine that celebrates racy acidity, with mouthwatering notes of zesty, ripe citrus fruits layered with crunchy green apple. Thanks to a tickle of lees ageing, it also has a fleshy texture and brings fantastic balance to the vibrant acid. Enjoy this with anything that requires a squeeze of lemon on top - we particularly love it with oysters.

This is a Dry, Medium bodied wine with High acidity and No tannin. It is Medium+ in it's intensity with Medium alcohol and a Medium+ finish.
