Macán Rioja is a collaboration between the renowned Vega Sicilia and Benjamin de Rothschild estates; Ribera del Duero meets Bordeaux in Rioja. The best of both have combined to produce top quality, modern-style Riojas from the foothills of the Sierra de Cantabria in the Sonsierra region, the heart of La Rioja. Akin to Bordeaux Macán Clasico is the estates 'second wine' and is approachable earlier than Macán, though still a serious and age-worthy wine in its own right. 100% Tempranillo from the cooler 2018 vintage and harvested later than normal and so described as "the purest expression of Tempranillo" with a fresher, more elegant profile. The use of oak adds weight, depth and structure combined with that natural acidity, ripe fruits and oak and pepper spice results in a highly accomplished wine.

We do not ship to WA or NT. If you require shipping to either of these states please get in touch.
