Little Frances was established in 2012 by Sydney born Erin Frances Pooley, who set out to make the wines she loves to drink from Californian grapes. With loads of experience from Barossa to Okanagan and the Rhone, Erin has travelled the globe learning and honing her skills. She’s now settled in Northern California where she takes on the role of being the business owner, winemaker, accountant, box packer and shipment coordinator. She really does it all!

Erin has sought to capture the individual profile of each vineyard, taking a light touch in the winery and pursuing sites where texture and complexity will shine. All her wines are fermented with native yeasts, bottled without fining products and using minimal sulphites.

The growth of Little Frances has been slow and steady, and in recent years the range has expanded to include Chenin Blanc, Merlot and a co-fermented blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Little Frances wines are made with your dinner table in mind: balanced, naturally lower in alcohol and bottled with minimal preservatives.
