Antinori is a name that is synonymous with wine in Italy, and all over the world. This family have been intimately involved in the wine industry of Italy since 1179 when Accarisio di Antinoro (their forefather whos passed down the Antinori name) kept some of property rights from a land sale of Badia a Passignano, which would become one of their most important estates. In more recent years their influence has grown seeing them involved in projects across the country and around the world. They were also instrumental in the renaissance of Chianti and their portfolio of wines includes some stellar names such as Tignanello, Solaia and the beautiful Peppoli Chianti Classico.

They have been committed to the art of winemaking for over seven centuries and all throughout its history (26 generations!), the Antinori family has managed the business directly making innovative and sometimes bold decisions while upholding the utmost respect for their country, its traditions and the environment.

Tasting Note: (from the winery)
The Villa Antinori Chianti Classico Riserva 2019 is ruby red in colour. On the nose aromas of small red fruit and floral hints of lavender lead over to spicy notes of cloves and sweet tobacco. The rich bouquet is completed by impressions of graphite, white chocolate, and mint. A mouth filling entry with supple tannins is sustained by excellent freshness. The finish echoes aromatic notes perceived on the nose.
