Ben Glaetzer's understanding of the ancient dry-grown vineyards in the renowned Ebenezer district of the Barossa is evident in the stunning quartet of wines produced under the Glaetzer label.
Exceptional fruit from a loyal group of third- and fourth-generation Barossa grape growers is the backbone of Glaetzer wines. With minimal intervention, Ben makes unique, harmonious wines which are regarded as classics – and unmistakably Barossa Valley.

At every point, from the Wallace Shiraz Grenache right up to the Langton's "Outstanding"- rated Amon-Ra Shiraz, these wines manage to balance great expressiveness and intensity with improbable elegance.

Tasting Note:
The 2021 Bishop Shiraz is vinified with old vine material (35-120 years old) from the sub-region of Ebenezer. An explosion of brooding dark tones with bright cassis and coffee bean hints. The palate has subtle richness with flavours of dark plum and blackberry intermingled with dark chocolate and dried spice. Generous yet restrained tannin provides exceptional palate length and persistence.

This is a Dry, Full bodied wine with High acidity and Medium+ tannin. It is Medium+ in it's intensity with High alcohol and a Medium finish.
